Abstract:
Based on analysis of the distribution and characteristics of oxbow lake in Liaohe Conservation Area, the oxbow lake wetland restoration and engineering design technologies were introduced. Thirty-three typical oxbow lakes in Fudedian-Liu river estuary, with a total area of 87.83 km
2, were chosen to restore the wetlands, according to the rubber dam distribution and water conservancy measures of wetland net in Liaohe River. Based on the natural condition of oxbow lake, the river water storage project and underlying surface modification project can be used. This wetland can form various habitat conditions, including aquatic, marsh, wetland and meso conditions. The appropriate pioneer species and constructive species were cultured based on the characteristics of different habitats. This can make the appropriate native aquatic plants become dominant species. The large oxbow lake wetland with an area of 36.93 km
2 was constructed between Juliuhe River rubber dam and Yubaotai rubber dam. The wetland ecological system with complete food chain, stabilized system and self-recovery can be formed by the water supply project and aquatic plant restoration. The water enters to Liaohe River can meet Class Ⅳ water quality standard, due to the purification effect of oxbow lake wetland.
