Abstract: Contaminant candidate lists (CCLs) for the drinking water that US EPA established were overviewed. The technique and procedure for CCL3 establishment were introduced in detail, and the screening methods and step-by-step implementation procedure of contaminant candidates combined with health hazard and exposure information were illustrated. The analysis can provide reference for the screening of controlled chemicals in China.
